Annual Remembrance Sunday Service

On Sunday 9th November the Annual Remembrance Day Service & Parade will take place in Newark, beginning with a wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial commencing at 10.55am, with prayers led by the Reverend Stephen Morris.

The Sherwood Rangers Yeomanry will this year be joined by 32 (Minden) Battery of the 16th Royal Regiment Royal Artillery to parade with members of the Newark Branch of the Royal British Legion and representatives from the ex-Service Associations, Sea, Army and Air Cadets.

Following the Church Service there will be a march past in the Market Place when the salute will be taken by Brigadier M E Browne CBE TD DL as the Lord Lieutenant's Representative and representative of the Honorary Colonel of the Sherwood Rangers Yeomanry; Councillor T Bickley JP, the Town Mayor of Newark, the President of the Newark Branch of the Royal British Legion and Cllr Mrs R Crowe, Chairman of the Newark & Sherwood District Council.

The Newark Town Bank will provide musical accompaniment.
