Newark Food Delivery Service for Vulnerable Residents

Submitted on 07 April 2020 by Town Council Administrator

To support those in Newark who are self-isolating because of health conditions and/or age, Newark  Town Council will provide a free delivery service of a limited range of essential foods from Newark Market, including fruit, vegetables and bread.

This service will be subject to the Market Traders being able to source daily supplies from their wholesalers.

Whilst we will endeavour to meet demand, this cannot be guaranteed every day.

Deliveries will be made on Market days - Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with residents required to place orders the afternoon before, between 1pm and 3pm.

A price will be confirmed before delivery and a contactless card payment will be required on delivery of the order.

Orders to be made by phone on 01636 681495, or by email to david.jackson@newark.gov.uk.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE IF YOU ARE FIT AND CAPABLE OF ARRANGING YOUR OWN COLLECTION/DELIVERY.
